About the Europan Competition


Europan is the international architecture competition for young professionals focusing on architecture, engineering, planning and urban construction industry. The competition is organized since 1988 in two-year cycles by the main federation Europan Europe.

Europan Europe started in 1988, originally gathering nine European countries. Currently, it associates 22 states (national organizations of Europan). The aim is to attract professionals to search for the avant-garde solutions, innovative ideas and possibilities in order to modernize European cities and launch the constructive dialogue between organizers, participants, decision makers and investors. 

In 2006, Poland joined the federation of Europan, as an Europan Polska association, submitting to the ninth edition of the competition Czyste quarter, located on Wola district in Warsaw.
